New Sunglasses

I'm stoked about these new sunglasses:

I got them at Nashbar.com - for like $4.99 - they are frameless. I don't know about the rest of you, but when I'm in an aero position, the top of my sunglass frame is always in my field of vision.

These are cheap-o-beep-o's....I hope they work without getting too fogged up. I may even try the anti-fog solution for my swim goggles on them.

I got them in yellow too. This way if there are any deer, hogs or terrorists out on my bike trail, I could shoot them much easier, that is, if I biked with a firearm.

Biking whilst packing heat. Might add a new factor in the whole "share the road" equation. A slung AK47 or Mossberg may cause the aggressive motorist to think twice before running me off the road or beep just behind me. A scared biker with an automatic weapon is not going to be "motorist-friendly"...I'm just saying.

Buying Cheapos is just good strategy. The expensive ones get lost or mangled instantly, but I don't think I have ever lost a pair of cheepies.
I pack heat all the time when I bike - pepper spray- to fend off those persistent farm dogs that like to chase me.

hey, good idea of arming yourself on the bike. i think you may have just done what no one else has been able to do to me-- turned me into a republican! :)

I think you may have just given TriDummy an idea...

Most republicans arm themselves in the off chance a hapless Democrat passes by...so consider yourself lucky Curly Su! Welcome to the Dark Side!

Those are sweet :) I only by the cheap ones myself.

As for the gun, that could come in handy. Mostly for the morons that like to yell out obscenities, and then laugh like they just realized how damn funny they really are and that the whole world should love them as much as they love themselves....ughhh

Love the sunglasses, esp. the price. And not being a very good shot or very big, I'd go for an Uzi.

Can you sing, "this is my weapon, this is my gun, this is for shooting, this is for fun," whilst wearing lycra and keep a straight face?

Just listened to the Podcast and ... it was ... really interesting :) I had thought to myself "oh no not another one" but getting the clydesdale perspective is going to be great.

Hurry up with episode two! haha :)

First thought was Bigun is going for the terminator look. Then I had to look closely to see what was in the reflection of the sunglasses on your monitor...

The Glock is a more aero choice, fits easily into the waistband.

i know what you mean. a few hours of staring at the frames in the areo position is enough to make you cross-eyed. i ordered a pair of the clear ones - guess my future isn't bright enough for the tinted ones.

benny got me two pair for christmas two years ago... we had a limit of $25. this is information i would have found useful at the time...

on the other hand, now i don't feel so bad about losing the yellow at a tri, and then sitting on the black pair the next day.
