Oh Crap...
What the heck did I just do?
Worse thing is, I have a whole friggin year to think about it! When I decided to try and get into Special Forces I don't think I had a year to train for that - and getting in to SF, well, it compares closely (wink, wink, nod, nod - sworn to secrecy...).
And do you really think they will have a 2xl t-shirt for me? Benny...did they have any 2xl's there?

Clap Clap Clap Clap. Remember Clydesdales also have big balls.
WHAT! THE! FUDGE! $475.00 ENTRY FEE?!?!?!?!?
Dont forget another 475 if you qualify for Kona :)
Time to dust off the ultapoinkinator3000 to prod you along with 360 days of training :)
Di: see Triathlete Bill of Rights
Amendment 8.
you don't choose the race.
the race chooses you.
bold has spoken.
again.
Holy smokes!! Way to step up to the plate. That is approximately 10 hours too long for me. I'm glad those races never choose me, I wouldn't know what to do.
Way to go Bigun- I guess we will be there with ya. Blink registered also! Idahooooooooo, here we come!
Sweeeeet...nothing like the "holyshitwhathaveidone" feeling (not to mention the specter of wasting $475 smackeroos) to motivate you for the next 363 days! Awesomeness.
I guess signing up for the half marathon at $65 isn't such a big deal.
pat
Winz - Oh no you didn't. (shoulders are moving and head is bobbing back and forth like a chicken) Don't make me clang a cow bell over your head!
I think Di just peed a little....
You should really show her the race receipt BEFORE you show your friends. Go give her a back rub, a long one.
Sounds like $3.38 per mile of fun to me, good luck. I was in your position a couple of months for IMFL 07, Now im only 4 months away. Don't let it get away from you. Ryan
Yes! Right decision! Now get busy!
Way to step up Bigum. But WOW I had no idea Ironman Tri's cost $475.00.
I know the feeling brother. The same thing happened to me this morning.
Iron rusts, Ironmen don't, and apparently their coins don't either.
I'm in and have the bill to prove it. :)
It will be worth every one of my pennies doing thah race with ya.
Peace Brutha!
Bigun, I'm going to thoroughly enjoy following along at home!
Gulp!!!!! It all begins now...way to go!!!!!
Now *there's* a Declaration of Intent - way to step up!
Congrats...
I'll see you up at CDA!!!
T-Guy J
Your gonna rock!!
uttohh.. Mrs. Bigun saw da race fee.. :)
way to nut up and click da button!
rockon`
I know exactly what you are feeling! I am in the same boat that you just jumped in.
Go get em Big Man...hopefully, gulp, I'll be doing the same thing, signing up in Sept at IMWI for 2008.
And so a second chapter has been added to our little traveling Clydesdale road show...I can't wait.
I hope you added me to the list of family members who will be attending.....otherwise, you get the cowbell - over your noggin!
Hey, Figured after that entry fee, the least I deserved is to be listed on attending family members!!
ROTFLMAO
Excellent choice my friend. I promise, you won't regret this decision. You will have the experience of a lifetime. Nytro and I will be there for sure next year. Probably not racing, but we will be there. Good luck Bigun
Benny
OK then...so far it's Spokane Al, and some guy in Colorado whose blog I just visited...and you....Where ARE the ladies???? Hello!???? (I guess I always wanted to be just "one of the guys")
Yeah- registering was a heart-stopping experience, and I was so rattled I scrolled down to a large T-shirt and put my level of education as "other"....
I think you and me will be talkin' a lot over the next year!!!
Oh yeah....I didn't list my husband as a family member. Hope he and Di don't run off together while we are racing (but I bet they go for a couple of beers!)
I'll see you there!
CONGRATULATIONS!!
What a huge step - what motivation!
YA!! You rock, I can't WAIT to watch you race!!!
